Product Description
The function of the engine water pump is to drive the coolant to dissipate the heat from the engine, ensuring that it circulates through the cooling system and keeping the water circulating through the radiator, taking the heat away and ensuring that the engine doesn't get too hot.
The cylinder of a car engine has a number of waterways for cooling water circulation, which are connected by water pipes to the radiator placed at the front of the car, forming a large water circulation system. The water pump is installed in the upper outlet of the engine and is driven by a fan belt, which pumps the hot water out of the waterways of the engine cylinders and the cold water in. There is also a thermostat next to the water pump. When the car is first started, it is not turned on so that the cooling water will only circulate through the engine and not through the water tank. When the engine temperature reaches 95 degrees or more, it is switched on and the hot water from the engine is pumped into the tank and the cold air from the car is blown through the tank to take away the heat.
The pump works by the engine driving the bearings and impeller of the pump through the pulley and the coolant in the pump is driven together by the impeller. Under the action of centrifugal force, it is thrown to the edge of the pump casing and at the same time generates a certain pressure, which then flows out of the outlet or water pipe. As the coolant is thrown out, the pressure in the centre of the impeller is reduced and the coolant in the water tank is sucked into the impeller through the water pipe under the pressure difference between the pump inlet and the centre of the impeller, realising the reciprocal circulation of
the coolant.
