Product Description
In the cylinder block of the car engine, there are several waterways for cooling water circulation, and placed in the front of the car radiator (commonly known as the water tank) through the water pipe connected, constituting a large water circulation system,in the upper outlet of the engine, equipped with a water pump, through the fan belt to drive, the engine block waterway hot water pump out, the cold water pumped into. Next to the pump there is a thermostat, when the car is just started (cold), do not open, so that the cooling water does not go through the tank, only in the engine circulation (commonly known as small cycle), to be the engine temperature reaches 95 degrees or more, open, the hot water in the engine is pumped into the tank, the car forward when the cold air blowing through the tank, take away the heat.
The engine drives the pump bearing and impeller through the pulley, the coolant in the pump is driven by the impeller to rotate together and is thrown to the edge of the pump casing under centrifugal force, while generating a certain pressure, and then flows out from the outlet waterway or water pipe. The pressure at the centre of the impeller is reduced because the coolant is thrown out, and the coolant in the water tank is sucked into the impeller through the water pipe under the action of the pressure difference between the pump inlet and the centre of the impeller, thus realising the reciprocal circulation of the coolant.
The bearings supporting the pump shaft are lubricated with grease, so the coolant should be prevented from leaking into the grease causing grease emulsification, and the grease should also be prevented from leaking. Water pump to prevent leakage of sealing measures are water seal and gasket. The water seal dynamic seal ring and shaft through the interference fit between the impeller and the bearing, water seal static seal seat tightly pressed in the pump shell, so as to achieve the purpose of sealing the coolant.
The pump casing is connected to the engine through the gasket and supports the bearings and other moving parts. There are also water drainage holes in the water pump housing, located between the water seal and the bearings.
